Key Responsibilities

Provide patient care in the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, floating between all acute care areas as needed.
Adapt to different units within the facility, maintaining high standards of nursing practice.
Document patient information accurately using the Meditech EMR system.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and dress code (solid navy scrubs).
Assist with any unit-specific procedures or patient needs during night shifts.
Required Qualifications

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
Valid Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or a Compact state (no temp licenses accepted).
BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting.
At least 18 months of total experience working under a high-level professional nursing license, with 1 year in the specialty.
Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience floating to multiple units within acute care settings.
Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system.
Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a floated schedule.
Note:

Candidates must be comfortable floating between units and working night shifts.
The assignment is located at a healthcare facility in Tuscaloosa, AL, with parking available.
$2066 includes taxable hourly rate plus meals and lodging stipend.
