Texans Credit Union has an outstanding opportunity for a Loan Advisor who can provide product solutions and close sales while maintaining a high level of member service and urgency.
The Loan Advisor (LA) position in the centralized sales team serves as a phone liaison and sales expert with our members by being the main point of contact throughout their entire loan process. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule after a 90-day training and probationary period.
Conduct comprehensive loan interviews to understand members' full financial profiles, identify current and future needs, and provide personalized solutions.
Accurately complete, document, and submit loan applications in compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements.
Analyze credit reports to recommend appropriate products, educate members on improving creditworthiness, and identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services.
Maintain and actively manage a loan pipeline to meet established service level agreements, ensuring a strong approval-to-funding ratio.
Demonstrate expertise in credit union systems, including application platforms, CRM tools, and member communication channels.
Document all interactions and loan decisions thoroughly and accurately, providing recommendations to assist in underwriting.
Collaborate with teammates in a hybrid/remote environment to achieve individual and team performance goals.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lending policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, including BSA/AML regulations.
Provide support to the general phone queue or other service channels as needed.
Strong understanding of consumer lending practices, credit analysis, and ancillary product offerings.
Effective verbal, written, and digital communication abilities.
Proficiency in computer systems, including Temenos, CRM tool Synapsis, and Microsoft Office Suite.

High-school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years Sales/Service experience in a Retail and/or Financial Institution environment.
