High School Math Tutors

As a MathContent Coach (Math Teacher) , you will serve as the primary instructional resource for our Graduation Candidates (GCs), delivering competency-based content, supporting personalized learning, and guiding students toward graduation and post-secondary success. You’ll work with a collaborative team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support that empowers each learner’s journey.

Work Arrangement: This position can be hybrid, with a combination of onsite work at the Ector County Acceleration Academy in Odessa, TX and remote work. Serve as an advisor for assigned GCs by maintaining communication with learners and their support team

Monitor attendance, academic progress, and overall wellness to ensure consistent engagement and achievement

Plan and deliver content-area instruction in both individual and small group settings

Monitor GC academic progress toward course completion and mastery using formative and summative assessments

Analyze and use academic data to inform instruction and improve outcomes

Participate in professional development, data meetings, and school/community events

Represent the academy in community events and contribute to academy-wide initiatives

Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the academy’s mission

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred

Texas 6-12 secondary certification in Mathematics (REQUIRED)

Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred)

Skills: Strong communication, time management, instructional planning, and collaboration skills

A deep commitment to helping at‑risk youth succeed academically and personally

Experience working in non-traditional or at-risk youth settings

Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and alternative education models

Experience with competency-based learning, instructional coaching, or project-based education

Strong comfort with educational technology tools and platforms
