Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is focused on providing high-quality care in various surgical specialties, including general, plastic, gynecological, ENT, trauma, neuro, orthopedic, GU, and colorectal robotics.
Key Responsibilities
Circulate and scrub during surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.
Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care to patients.
Assist in maintaining a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
Float between different surgical specialties as needed to meet facility demands.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana, compact, or temporary license at the time of hire.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operating room setting, with at least 1 year in a Level 1 Trauma center preferred.
BLS certification is required.
Experience in circulating is required; scrub experience is preferred.
Ability to work flexibly within the scope of the role and adapt to varying needs of the facility.
Work Schedule
This position requires a full-time commitment with day shifts consisting of 3 twelve-hour workdays. Availability to work during major holidays is expected, with a requirement to work at least two out of three.
Unit Information
The operating room consists of 21 surgical rooms, accommodating an average daily census of 70-80 patients. The team is involved in a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties, ensuring a diverse and engaging work experience.
Additional Information
Scrub color is provided to all staff.
Charting will be conducted using Cerner software.
Parking at the facility is available free of charge.
