Counselor - Evening/Night

Northern Rivers has openings for Residential Youth Counselors in our Schenectady location - AND we are offering a $1,000 Sign On Bonus! (In this position, the Residential Youth Counselor is responsible for providing daily therapeutic treatment to the children and youth in our care, and we offer a continuum of residential treatment options that can help any child find success. Learn and work within the trauma informed framework of the program, including identifying and using coping/safety plans, maintaining consistency, providing regular routine as well as learning controlled self-response to youth interaction.
Follow outlined program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols as well as complete all mandatory trainings according to program guidelines.
Work as part of a team which includes colleague residential counselors, clinicians, supervisors and other administrative and functional support staff.
Maintain respectful and appropriate communication with our internal and external partners, including county workers, medical staff and parents for client success.
Complete and maintain documentation to meet programmatic and regulatory standards.
Transport clients for medical and mental health appointments and other essential needs as necessary.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays as needed.
Starting Rate for this role is $17.00/hour with Evening and overnights will make a shift differential.
