Hospital ICU RN - Travel Nursing

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13‑week day shift assignment requiring 1‑2 years of acute care experience and BLS/NIHSS certifications.

Requirements

Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand

Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility required

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

Work in the ICU of a 295-bed acute care hospital offering cardiac care and an advanced neurosurgery program

Neuro specialty patient population

Patient ratios of 4:1 on day shift

Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Every other weekend required

No on‑call requirements

May be required to float within a 25 mile radius of the facility

Uses Meditech EHR system

Provide ICU‑level nursing care within a neuro specialty unit

Facility is the largest private employer in the region, serving an 11‑county area in south central Kentucky

Hospital holds Spine Center accreditation

Orientation is held weekly on Mondays

Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate

Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months

Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
