(CEC) are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer, in our Pittsburgh, PA office, looking to work on complex, high-impact projects that shape the future of manufacturing and infrastructure. Join CEC's Manufacturing Infrastructure Services (MIS) Group and play a key role in designing state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, oil & gas operations, water treatment systems, and power generation projects.
In this role, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges, guide project execution, and help clients capitalize on emerging technologies. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor for mechanical design projects.
Lead the development of mechanical engineering solutions for industrial and manufacturing facilities
Apply extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering codes, standards, and best practices
Perform mechanical and piping system design
Complete engineering calculations, including HVAC equipment selection and pipe sizing
Establish design criteria and technical specifications for projects
Prepare equipment and system specifications
Provide quality review and oversight of mechanical designs prepared by team members
Serve as the primary mechanical engineering contact for project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary design teams
Coordinate project requirements with civil, structural, electrical, and process engineering teams
Develop engineering labor estimates for proposals and project planning
Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project reviews

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with heavy industrial, manufacturing, process, or similar facilities
• Professional Engineering License (P.Experience performing mechanical system design and engineering calculations
• Proficiency with mechanical engineering design software
• Demonstrated experience leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering efforts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to conduct field investigations and site visits
• Willingness to travel approximately 10%
