Student Support Services/School Nurse

As our School Nurse, you'll be an essential part of that mission-working across teams, supporting student well-being, and accompanying students during community-based instruction and off-campus learning experiences.

Provide health assessments, first aid, medication administration, and referrals to promote student wellness and minimize absences.
Partner with the Health Office Coordinator to maintain medical protocols, documentation, and compliance with state regulations.
Support community-based instruction (CBI) by attending off-site trips to administer medication and ensure student/staff well-being.
Maintain accurate health records and ensure immunization compliance.
Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) as needed and contribute to IEPs.
assist with immunization programs, and provide emergency care.
Collaborate with families, staff, and medical professionals to support the holistic needs of students.
Participate on crisis and multidisciplinary teams, offering insight as the designated healthcare professional.
Provide health education and guidance to students, families, and staff.

Licensed RN in New Jersey, with NJ School Nurse Certification (or ability to obtain)
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Biology, Chemistry, or related field; Background in pediatrics or school/community health setting is a plus
Work Environment & Safety:
School-based environment with occasional off-site responsibilities
Use of standard medical and office equipment
