Your Role and Responsibilities
Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and craft individualized therapy strategies that help them achieve their goals for functional independence.
Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Utilize evidence-based approaches to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and everyday living skills.
Collaborate with Diverse Teams: Work hand-in-hand with occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure a comprehensive continuum of care.
Educate Patients and Families: Provide knowledge and training to patients and their caregivers about therapeutic techniques that foster progress beyond sessions.
Monitor and Evaluate Progress: Track patient outcomes and refine treatment plans as necessary, ensuring each individual is on a path to success.
Qualifications Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Commitment to ongoing education and potential for post-graduate certifications.
Required Certifications Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
NBCOT certification required.
Required Skills A genuine enthusiasm for aiding others in achieving their utmost independence.
Excellent communication skills, embodying empathy in interactions with patients and colleagues.
Ability to think creatively and adapt therapy plans to diverse client needs.
