This position functions as an Administrative Coordinator/Investigator within the Office of Fair Practices and Inclusion (OFPI). This position's primary duty will be to investigate complaints of discrimination and bullying to include equal employment opportunity, Americans with Disabilities Act, sexual harassment complaints, and potential Standards of Conduct breaches.

Coordinate the administrative processes needed for the resolution of all EEO/ADA related complaints filed by DPSCS employees
Assist with preparing detailed responses to EEO/ADA related complaints from outside agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the MD Commission on Civil Rights in their respective region.
Have ownership of cases, from start to finish, and supporting the office in work flow, templates, SOPs, and updating policy/directive when necessary.
Draft memos, and prepare communications on the OFPI Executive's behalf as related to casework/findings/decisions/etc.
Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records and storing data; Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Five years of administrative staff or professional work.

Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.

Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for- year basis for the required experience.

Experience interpreting and applying federal and state EEO laws, regulations, employment policies, and standards of proof.
