RN Hospice Homecare - Travel - Night Shift

We’re looking for aHospice RN – Regional Support to join our team. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide direct care to patients and support to families, while also serving as a floating clinician—temporarily assigned to different hospice branches based on census needs or staffing gaps. If you’re energized by new settings, adaptable to change, and passionate about purpose-driven care, this role could be a perfect fit.
Some overnight travel will be required. Fleet vehicle or mileage reimbursement, travel expense reimbursement, comprehensive benefit package and competitive salary provided.
As a Hospice RN – Regional Support, You Will:
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care for hospice patients• Manage and implement individualized plans of care• Support and lead interdisciplinary team members (LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, etc.)• Assess and address patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental needs• Accurately document all care provided and ensure compliance with hospice protocols• Educate families and caregivers on care instructions, medications, and safety• Participate in the on-call rotation and provide after-hours care as needed• Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and the care team• Assist with referrals, regulatory documentation, and payer compliance• Travel to various Gentiva hospice locations as assigned to fill urgent needs
Schedule & Travel:
This role typically follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional on-call responsibilities. Travel is required and may include:

Overnight travel required to cities within a 100-mile radius.
Option 2: Frequent overnight travel to multiple states is required.
Option 3: Regional travel with overnight stays based on assignment needs.
A company fleet car is provided for eligible employees.
Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of employment• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (hospice, home health, acute care, long-term care, oncology or other high acuity setting)• Current CPR certification• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Hospice and end-of-life nursing experience• Skilled in clinical assessments and compassionate communication• Strong critical thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills• Comfortable working in varied environments with shifting needs• Proficient in documentation and electronic health records• Calm and supportive in crisis situations; Benefits for All Hospice Associates (Full-Time & Per Diem):
