Warehouse - Inventory Cycle Counter

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management within a manufacturing/plant environment. This role supports production by maintaining optimal raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory levels. The Inventory Planner works closely with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to prevent shortages, reduce excess inventory, and keep operations running smoothly.

Maintain appropriate inventory levels for raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production schedules

• Analyze production plans, forecasts, and historical usage to determine material requirements
• Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accuracy within ERP systems
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, including cycle count and audit variances
• Track slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and recommend corrective actions
• Partner with production and operations teams to adjust inventory based on changing demand or production needs
• Support scheduling and planning efforts to align material availability with production timelines
• Generate and review inventory reports (stock levels, shortages, usage trends, and turnover)
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and inventory control procedures
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field (preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, production planning, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
• SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large data sets
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and production workflows
• Bachelor’s degree experience in Operations, Business, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, production planning, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
• SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large data sets
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and production workflows
• Inventory control and material planning
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced plant environment
