Senior Water Resources Engineering

We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Henderson, NV office. This position reports to the Water Resources Technical Manager in Henderson, NV. The Senior Water Resources Engineer, under direction, provides professional expertise in flood control engineering & design, highway drainage, stormwater/flood control master planning, hydrologic & hydraulic modeling, and FEMA CLOMR/LOMR submittals.

Plan and review the production of engineering investigations, planning work, drawings and specifications.

Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost-effective solution.

Analyze project dimension and scope, and prepare or oversee the preparation of cost and manpower estimates, schedules and job budgets.

Coordinate work with project managers, guides others on drafting and design of preliminary and final plans.

Provide quality control and maintain quality standards, check work performed by others.

Occasionally manage projects.

S. in Civil Engineering. Understanding and competency of CADD (Autodesk and MicroStation).

Understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic design principles and applications in arid regions, preferably in Southern Nevada.

Good technical writing, computer and verbal communications skills.

May be eligible to receive project management training.
