Position Overview

Big Fish is looking for dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwashers to join our kitchen team. Dishwashers play an essential role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining a steady supply of clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment throughout service.

Responsibilities

Operate the dish machine and properly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment

Keep the dish area clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift

Ensure clean dishes and equipment are returned to the appropriate areas quickly and safely

Assist kitchen staff with maintaining a smooth flow of service

Remove trash and recycling and maintain clean garbage areas

Sweep and mop kitchen and dish area floors as needed

Clean and sanitize sinks, work areas, equipment, and other kitchen surfaces

Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and closing duties

Properly handle cleaning chemicals and follow safety procedures

Follow all food safety and sanitation standards

Help with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries when needed

Communicate with cooks, chefs, and management when supplies or equipment are needed

Maintain a positive and professional attitude, even during busy periods

Perform additional cleaning and kitchen-support duties as assigned

Ability to work well as part of a team

Willingness to learn and take direction

Attention to cleanliness and organization

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable working in a hot, wet, and fast-paced environment

Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays
