Job Description Summary The medical laboratory technician performs generalist duties working all areas of the lab. Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type Regular Cost Center CC004772 ORBG - BBEMC Lab Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-24 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Work Shift Evening (United States of America).

Responsibilities Perform a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested by healthcare staff according to established protocols and procedures.

Prepare specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures.

Operate automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment.

Perform quality control and assurance procedures.

Record lab results in specified system.

Follow all required privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.

Shift Available Shift: Four 10‑hour rotating evening shifts, every other weekend.

Qualifications Education: Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.

Experience: At least one year of clinical experience.

Certification: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent.

This is a Career Ladder Position. Internal candidates are required to submit and meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements. External candidates are required to complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 90 days of positioning.
