Material Handler-Production Shift

Material HandlerThe Material Handler coordinates all activities on the conveyor system by organizing work orders at the load and unload stations. This role involves loading and unloading products, completing required documentation, operating basic machinery and computer systems, and supporting the safe and efficient operation of the plant. The position offers a stable workload with opportunities for overtime and advancement into a production operator role.Organize and coordinate work orders at conveyor load and unload stations to ensure smooth product flow.Operate the plant in the absence of the Shift Supervisor, maintaining safe and efficient processes.Prepare dosimeters for scheduled work orders according to established procedures.Operate the dosimeter reader and accurately take and record readings.Assemble processed dosimeters with the run data sheet, work orders, and load/unload sheets for proper documentation.Maintain an accurate downtime and system configuration log to support operational reporting.Record input, dosimeter, and unload information in the computer system in a timely and precise manner.Perform emergency procedures as required by license and company protocols.Report system problems promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor or Technician for resolution.Replace designated mechanical components and assist Maintenance personnel as required.Oversee the work of others on the line to support productivity and adherence to procedures.Load large boxes containing spices and medical supplies into the conveyor system safely and efficiently.Support production activities including loading, unloading, picking, packing, and general material handling.Operate warehouse and production equipment in accordance with safety standards.Follow all safety, quality, and operational guidelines while working in the warehouse environment.35 years of prior warehouse experience in roles such as material handler, loader, unloader, or similar.High school diploma or equivalent education.Experience with machine operation and basic production equipment in a warehouse or plant environment.Ability to operate computer systems for data entry, logging, and tracking work orders.Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and recordkeeping.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dover, NJ.The pay range for this position is $21.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
