Registered Nurse (RN) — Spinal Cord Injury and Brain Injury Patients

Full-time opportunity for 3 days/week, 12-hour shifts (0.9 FTE, 72 hours per pay period)

plus applicable shift differentials for evenings and weekends

Join our specialized neuro-rehabilitation units, 4 West and 2 East, where you will care for patients recovering from complex spinal cord and brain injuries. Unit Details

4 West: Advanced Spinal Cord Injury Care (SCI) — 26 Beds

High-Acuity Skills: Complex wound care, autonomic regulation, neurogenic bowel and bladder management, and advanced respiratory care (ventilators and tracheostomies)

2 East: Dual Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) & Brain Injury (BI) Specialties — 19 Beds

Primary Population: Care for spinal cord injury patients alongside brain injury patients

Overflow unit addressing high regional brain injury referrals

Expanded Skill Set: Master both SCI protocols and brain injury cognitive and physical rehabilitation strategies

Current Colorado RN license required

Graduate of an accredited nursing program required

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience preferred

Experience in neuroscience, acute med-surg, or rehabilitation strongly desired

Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and trauma-informed care

Comfortable using EMRs and basic computer systems

Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care aligned with Craig’s standards and the ANA Code of Ethics

Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

Educate patients and families on care plans, goals, and long-term self-management techniques

Coordinate care with team members across disciplines, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity

Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner

Apply principles of infection prevention and patient safety to every interaction

Supervise and delegate to unlicensed staff and students as appropriate

Actively participate in Shared Governance, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities

Contribute to a supportive, respectful, and team-oriented unit culture
