PRN LPN Ambulatory Nursing

LPN- Opioid Clinic

Horizon Health is seeking a LPN for our clinic in Petersburg, VA. The OTP LPN delegates, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with the interdisciplinary team members and in accordance with the nursing process and the OTP standards of care and practices.

Dispensing Methadone and other medication, per physician orders and per clinic policy

Completing brief assessment of patient's mental and physical well-being, monitoring for signs/symptoms associated with licit and illicit drug use

Participating in UDS surveillance, per policy

Coordinating medication reviews and staffing with agency physicians

Completing all required controlled substance inventories to ensure accurate medication counts

Conducting patient education programs according to needs identified, including health and wellness education

Scheduling Saturdays 5a-9a

Horizon's programs have dedicated marketing support and outstanding resources from the nation's largest psychiatric contract management company. Bachelor's degree preferred

Minimum 2 years experience in an addiction care setting (Inpatient, Detox, Partial Hospitalization, OTP) preferred
