SUMMARY 

Mortenson is currently seeking a Carpenter Foreman that will provide oversight
to project carpentry crews and coordinate, implement and supervise all
self-performed work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensure proper IWP is in place and understood by the crew; examine blueprints
to determine structure dimensions

• Lay out floor plans and cabinetwork using tape, framing square, and calipers
• Select and inspect materials and structural units (lumber, prefabricated

doors, cabinets, paneling) for code compliance
* Determine sequence of fabrication, assembly, and erection activities; assign
tasks to workers
* Inspect subcontractor work (ductwork, wiring, pipe installations) for
specification conformance
* Install doors, build stairs, lay hardwood floors, and perform concrete and
rough carpentry (hand set walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural
concrete decks, slabs, columns, drywall)
* Perform finish carpentry (set door frames, hang doors, install hardware,
toilet accessories, handrails, partitions, lockers, cabinets, countertops,
wall paneling, coffered ceilings, running trim)
* Lead team members by example, offer coaching and feedback, build
relationships with diverse individuals, and perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED
• Completion of apprenticeship program
• Ability to work with precision, visualize solid objects from drawings, read

plans, and operate equipment (table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc
sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging, and form
systems)
* Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service
skills, detail orientation, and effective communication including active
listening and openness to diverse input and feedback

• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.

A few benefits offered include: 

The base pay range for this role is $61.25 per hour. (Actual range is higher
for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle,
WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an
individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to
internal equity.
