The teacher delivers engaging, data-driven instruction in a K-12 classroom setting, manages classroom culture, and supports the whole-child development of each student.
Bachelor's degree required
Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate elementary endorsement, or eligibility for certification through the Michigan State Board of Education
Candidates who do not yet hold a Michigan teaching certificate may qualify through enrollment in GEE's Career Advancement Program (CAP), which provides a supported pathway to Michigan certification. CAP eligibility is determined at the time of application.
Use formative and summative assessment data to adjust instruction and meet individual student needs
Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and collaborative planning sessions
