Provides primary veterinary care and case management within the Emergency Critical Care and Urgent Care Services. Provides leadership to the veterinary care team. Utilizes medical knowledge and expertise to provide onsite triage for ill or injured animals. Helps clients assimilate information and make care decisions. Communicates and coordinates with other hospital services to facilitate timely efficient assessment, diagnostics, stabilization, treatment and/or transfer. Problem solves and provides consultation to students, staff, faculty, and community. Provides written feedback on student performance.

Provide primary veterinary care and case management , including onsite triage, diagnostics, treatment, and coordination with hospital services to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.

Lead and support the veterinary care team , collaborating with clients, referring veterinarians, students, staff, and faculty; Promote professional communication and education , delivering client updates and follow-ups, consulting on clinical cases, problem-solving collaboratively, and providing written feedback on student performance.

Deliver comprehensive veterinary care and case management , including onsite triage, diagnostics, treatment, and coordination with hospital services, clients, and referring veterinarians to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.

Provide clinical leadership and professional communication , supporting and consulting with students, staff, faculty, and the community; and evaluating student performance.

Required to report without delay or interruption to provide essential or emergency services to ensure health, safety and welfare.

Supervision:

Bachelor's degree plus

• Ability to obtain a Colorado Veterinary License
• 3 years' experience as a DVM in small animal general or emergency practice

Experience as a DVM in emergency practice
