To provide exceptional, high-quality service and direct the delivery of products/services through sales efforts through face to face and drive through services. The Bank Teller will complete deposits, withdrawals, and other financial interactions while providing excellent customer service to all customers.Perform routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, money orders, disbursements, and check cashing and all other teller duties.Explain, promote, and cross sell the products and services the Credit Union offers.Know and understand the policies and procedures of the Credit Union and able to explain them to the members.Balance cash drawer, coin, currency and checks to source documents and the Reliance totals at the end of each shift.Cashes checks and disburses funds after verifying signatures and sufficiency of funds to support withdrawals.Accepts deposits, confirming accuracy of transaction.Evaluates checks to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of the documents.Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records.Follow proper cash handling procedures.Load and unload cash recycler and ATM's (in the Credit Union).Respond to members' requests, problems and complaints, and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.Receive information pertaining to member's accounts and route to proper person. Follow teller Standards with all membersTrain new hires to perform proper teller duties as listed as above when neededServe as an example and a back-up to the teller trainer to ensure all new hires are properly trainedProvide SPARK! Enforces compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) requirements, and should request legal interpretation as necessary to identify compliance concerns.Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to adhere to internal policies as well as external policies and regulations set forth by the NCUABe adaptable to change and embrace SPARK! service standardsExcellent oral communication skillsMust be out of probationary period to applyHigh School Diploma, GED equivalency or higherProficiency with Microsoft 365 and relevant systemsMust be bondable.Skills and Abilities:Must be able to learn our products and services and identify in what circumstances they can cross-sell our products and services to our members on a consistent basisMust have at least a $2,500 approval limit or higherMust be flexible, adapt to change, solve problems and be multi-task oriented.Must have good computer skills and be detail oriented and thorough on paperwork.Must be able to operate customary office machines such as photocopier, fax, and phone system.Being able to perform back up duties to the assistant is a plus but not requiredAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Maintains compliance with all applicable policies, demonstrating integrity, respect, and accountability while handling sensitive information and complying with FPCU policies, regulatory expectations, and confidentiality requirements.Ability to apply logistical reasoning, analytical skills, and professional judgment to define and solve problems with effective and compliant solutionsAdaptable, resilient, and comfortable navigating change in a fast-moving environmentEmbraces innovation and continuously seeks better ways to serve members and support teamsCertifications, Licenses:Internal annual compliance testing requiredPhysical Demands & Work Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
