Kingsway is currently seeking dishwashers.
The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware, utensils, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas in a senior living facility. This role is essential to ensuring a safe and clean dining environment for residents and staff while supporting the overall operations of the kitchen.
Wash and sanitize all dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans using an industrial dishwasher or manual cleaning methods.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dishwashing area, including counters, sinks, and floors.
Dispose of garbage and recycling in a timely and sanitary manner, following facility protocols.
Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, and fryers, as directed.
Monitor dishwashing supplies and notify supervisors of low stock or equipment issues.
Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties as requested by supervisors.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations during meal service and special events.
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Ability to operate dishwashing equipment and follow cleaning protocols.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
