Job Description

ROLE - SPECIALTY

Schedule: Days, 8 hours, 40 per week
Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Requirements:

• Current nursing license
• Specialized certifications in wound, ostomy, and continence care preferred
• Previous experience in wound management and care

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide autonomously delivered care to medically complex patients in an acute care setting.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound, ostomy, and continence care programs throughout inpatient areas.
• Serve as a resource for wound care management, including identification, assessment, treatment, and prevention.
• Consult with multidisciplinary teams regarding patients with draining wounds, fistulas, and tubes.
• Conduct rounds on patients with wounds/pressure ulcers and ensure updated information regarding wound care is communicated to nursing and medical staff.
