PTA (Rehab)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to provide rehabilitation services under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, monitor patient progress, and help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
Provide therapeutic exercises, stretching, strengthening, gait training, and balance activities.
Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, positioning, and use of assistive devices.
Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility, safety, and home programs.
Maintain a safe and organized treatment environment.
Document treatment sessions accurately and timely in the EMR.
Participate in patient care planning and interdisciplinary communication.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Active PTA license in the state of practice.
Current BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year of recent PTA experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise, rehabilitation, mobility, and patient safety.
Excellent communication, organization, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in acute care, outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or home health.
Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, post-surgical, or medically complex patients.
Strong knowledge of gait training, balance activities, transfers, and assistive devices.
Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
