Responsibilities

Collaborate with project managers and team members across multiple disciplines to design infrastructure for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facilities.
Apply knowledge of civil engineering and design concepts, principles, best practices, codes, and guidelines related to the civil engineering design practice.
Learn and adhere to the company's QA/QC procedures and assist with other key aspects of design and construction, including technical writing, specifications, and reviewing construction submittals and RFIs.
Coordinate with multiple disciplines to manage design projects, developing an understanding of other engineering disciplines such as electrical power and lighting design, industrial instrumentation design, and system integration.
Conduct field visits to observe and report on construction activities.
Qualifications

Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in California or the capability to become registered within 6 months.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: water pumping and treatment design, civil site design (grading and paving plans, buried utility plans, etc.), pipeline design, hydraulics, pump stations, or water/wastewater treatment plant planning.
Self-motivated, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and effective in verbal and written communication.
