Shift:

2 Years As A Secretary/Receptionist/Phlebotomist In A Hospital Laboratory.

Is expected to be proficient in the practice of phlebotomy.

Accurately enters patient demographics and tests requests into the electronic health record.

Performs duties in a reasonable time span by organizing and planning work.

Positively identifies patients before performing phlebotomy procedure and properly labels all specimens.

Consistently follows the protocols & procedures as set forth in the Specimen Collection Manual.

Aides in training of new personnel.

Keep Outpatient area clean & orderly. Maintains adequate supplies & actively participates in inventory control.

Staff member will have knowledge of human growth and development through the life span of the patient and have the ability to meet the needs of and provide the care to these patients.
