Software Engineer - Fintech & AI Platform Location: Remote - United States preferred

Finstock, Inc. builds AI-powered financial research, trading analytics, quantitative research, and market intelligence tools for experienced investors, analysts, research teams, and institutions.

Our platform combines reliable software systems, scalable APIs, secure data workflows, responsive user interfaces, and AI-assisted research capabilities to support financial analysis and market intelligence.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to help build, maintain, and scale Finstock’s financial research and market intelligence platform.

You will work across backend services, APIs, product features, data integrations, internal tools, dashboards, and user-facing research workflows. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, data, AI, design, and financial analyst teams to turn business and research requirements into secure, production-ready software.

This is a remote position, with a preference for candidates based in the United States. Candidates in other countries may also be considered where Finstock can engage them in compliance with applicable employment, tax, data protection, and operational requirements.

Design, build, test, and maintain features for Finstock’s financial research and market intelligence platform.

Develop secure, reliable, and scalable backend services, APIs, and internal systems.

Integrate market data, company information, financial statements, research metadata, analytics outputs, and approved third-party APIs.

Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data teams, AI engineers, analysts, and designers.

Translate product and research requirements into maintainable, production-ready software.

Write clean, tested, well-documented, and reusable code.

Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, technical planning, and engineering design decisions.

Improve system performance, reliability, observability, security, and error handling.

Contribute to CI/CD workflows, automated testing, documentation, and engineering standards.

Follow internal security, privacy, confidentiality, and data-handling requirements.

At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, backend engineering, full-stack engineering, or a related role.

Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as:

Python

TypeScript or JavaScript

Java

C#

Experience building production-grade APIs, backend services, web applications, or internal engineering tools.

Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar systems.

Familiarity with frontend or full-stack frameworks such as React, Next.js, Angular, Vue, or equivalent technologies.

Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud environment.
