Tool Crib Attendant

The Tool Crib Specialist is responsible for the efficient operation of the tool crib, managing the purchasing, receiving, storage, issuance, and tracking of tooling, gauges, fixtures, and consumables. This role supports manufacturing and engineering teams by maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring proper tool calibration, coordinating with vendors, and sustaining tooling management systems that uphold production readiness and quality standards. What you'll be doing as a Tool Crib Attendant:

~ Working a full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location.

Tool Crib Operations & Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, usage logs, and ERP system updates.
Manage job charging and downtime records, collaborating with Manufacturing and HR teams on corrections or training as needed.
Procure tooling, equipment, and supplies required for ongoing operations.
Monitor stock levels and perform spot buys or source new vendors when necessary.
Maintain gage tool databases and certification records.
Participate in lean initiatives and suggest process improvements related to tooling and inventory management.
35 years of experience in a manufacturing tool room, tool crib, or CNC machining support role.

• Familiarity with cutting tools, gages, fixturing, and machine tool components.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Comfortable reading and interpreting technical documents and drawings.
• Experience with MRP/ERP platforms (e.g., Technical certification in manufacturing technology, machining, or industrial maintenance.

Experience training others or supporting onboarding in tooling procedures

The Tool Crib Attendant Compensation range for onsite Washington applicants is $20-26 commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
