Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a paraprofessional who is specifically trained to provide skilled personal care and activities of daily living (ADL's) to patients in their place of residence under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse (RN). Provides services as ordered in the plan of care/aide care plan and that the aide is permitted to perform under state lawPerforms/assists with direct patient/client personal care, household chores, meals, and other assigned/delegated tasksPerforms/assists with simple procedures as an extension of the therapy or nursing services as assigned/delegatedAssists in ambulation or exercises as assigned/delegatedAssists with medications that are ordinarily self-administered as assigned per state regulationMaintains excellent infection control practices at all times especially handwashing and appropriate precautions as directed by the RNUnderstands and adheres to established Agency policies and proceduresCompletes appropriate visit records in a timely manner as per Agency policyReports changes in the patient's condition timely as well as other and needs to the RNPerforms household services essential to health care in the home as assignedAttends staff meetings and patient care conferences as scheduledFollows Agency policy for cleaning equipment between patient usesCarries out, reports and documents care given in an effective, timely mannerCompletes all work assigned by the RN; reports incomplete assignments to the RNDoes not accept assignments for a patient for which he/she has not received appropriate trainingWhen applicable under state law, follows and performs RN delegation tasks as assignedObserves confidentiality and safeguards for all patient related informationReports any complaint, infection, variance, accident, or unusual occurrence to the RNParticipates in QAPI activities as requested/assignedMaintains acceptable attendance status, per Agency policyAppearance is always within Agency standard; is clean and well groomedDemonstrates effective time management skills through daily documentation and infrequent overtime for routine assignmentsAttends position related in-services as assigned. minimally 12 hours/yearMaintains clean and neat work environmentDemonstrates sound judgment and decision makingMaintains all human resource renewables as directedPerforms other duties as assigned/delegatedRequired Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:Has an empathetic and compassionate attitude toward the care of the sickAbility to carry out directions, read and writeAbility to effectively communicate; to demonstrate competency in the provision of care and services safely and effectively; has a mature outlookFlexibility and adaptability in responding to the needs of the patient/clientEducation/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:High School Diploma or GED18 years of age or per state regulationMaintains licensure or certification per state regulationMaintains current CPR certification and health certifications per state requirementsBenefits + Perks of Joining the Team Select FamilyMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k)Referral ProgramFlexible schedulingPaid, hands-on trainingWeekly payTuition Assistance Programs and Continuing Education opportunitiesNursing programs for new graduates available!Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.00 / hourWe accept applications on an ongoing basis.
