Front Desk Receptionist

Specialty Surgical Center of Westlake Village is hiring a Front Desk Receptionist.

Job Summary

The Receptionist interfaces with patients and families, physicians, vendors and staff; admits patients and processes their paperwork; updates patient demographics/information in the system; collects balances due and documents in the billing system; handles funds per office procedure; answers incoming phone calls; assists with chart prep and other business office duties necessary. Coordinating with office on scheduling for procedures and anesthesia coverage. May be asked to float to other locations for staff coverage. Must be reliable, dedicated, personable, professional and have strong attention to detail.

Pay Range

$24.00 - $28.00/hour (individual wages determined based upon factors including qualifications and experience).

Required Skills and Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.

One year previous experience or some health care clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.

Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment required to fulfill job duties.

Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial.

Good communication skills.
