Laboratory - Histology
Status: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift Hours: Tues-Friday / 8:00am - 6:00 pm (No Weekends)
Ensures every 10th negative GYN case is quality controlled by a pathologist as well as any other cases at the discretion of cytotechnologist.
Perform and document routine maintenance on microscopes and other laboratory equipment to ensure optimal instrument operation.
Rescreen FNA slides from the Cytodiagnosis and Breast Care Center as well as outside institutions as requested by pathologists.
Keeps statistical records of cytotechnologist workload.
Maintains records and annual statistics for cytology specimens.
Bachelor's Degree in a Biological, Chemical or Clinical Laboratory Science. Graduate from an accredited School of Cytotechology and certified in Cytotechnology by an HHS approved agency (ASCP) Minimum one year experience preferred.
