Staff Nurse Opportunity at University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty CampusThe new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus opened in the Spring of 2025. This 469,000 square foot facility is home to UI Health Care's nationally recognized Orthopedics service line, offering comprehensive, coordinated, and accessible care across the outpatient, inpatient, and surgical venues. These state-of-the-art clinical facilities include a full-service community imaging center, laboratory services, physical therapy, retail pharmacy, and emergency department as well as an array of support services. The North Liberty Campus is seeking passionate, driven individuals to join our dynamic team on our new inpatient unit. This fast-paced acute care unit is designed to provide exceptional care to a group of orthopedic patients. The team will care for individuals recovering from a wide range of orthopedic surgeries and procedures, such as joint replacements, fracture repairs, spinal surgeries, and more. With 36 large private patient rooms and cutting-edge facilities, we are committed to offering the highest standard of care to our community, helping patients recover and thrive.At North Liberty Campus, we believe in the power of collaborative teamwork and providing holistic, patient-centered care. Every member of our team plays a critical role in ensuring our patients receive not only expert clinical treatment but also compassionate, personalized support to maximize their quality of life during recovery. Characteristic duties of our staff nurses include but are not limited to:Applies nursing theory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illnessAssesses patient health care preferences and expectationsCollaboratively coordinates the continuum of care across settingsDevelops patient care plan based on patient condition, age, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic conditions that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomesImplements patient care plan according to patient priorities, which includes interventions identified through nursing diagnosesDocuments/reports interventions and patient/family responseCollaborates and integrates contributions of patients and families into multidisciplinary patient care planDevelops, coordinates, and implements transfer/discharge planning throughout episode of careImplements nursing interventions according to department, division, and/or unit policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Rotating schedule with weekend and holiday rotationLocation: Medical Center North LibertySalary: $60,000 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate *This does not include differentials. SEIU Pay Plan: Differentials: Shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
