Calista Aesthetics promotes a collaborative, respectful workplace where service providers can grow their skills and build lasting client relationships.Role Description The Manicurist will perform professional nail care services, including manicures, pedicures, nail shaping, cuticle care, and basic nail and hand treatments. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with clients on service options, recommending appropriate nail care, and maintaining a clean, sanitized workstation and tools according to health and safety guidelines. The role involves creating nail art designs, applying polish and enhancements, and ensuring clients have a pleasant, relaxing experience through courteous, attentive service. This is a contract, on-site role based at Calista Aesthetics in Rockville, MD, with schedules that may include evenings and weekends depending on client demand.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Nail Care and Nails skills, including manicures, pedicures, nail shaping, and cuticle care.Candidates should possess Cosmetology knowledge and training, including an understanding of sanitation, safety standards, and relevant state regulations.Candidates should possess Nail Art skills, including polish application, design work, and an eye for color and detail.Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, including clear communication, professionalism, and the ability to build positive client relationships.Valid state manicurist or cosmetology license (or eligibility to obtain) in Maryland.Prior experience in a salon, spa, or aesthetic studio setting is preferred.
