IVH-C REGISTERED NURSE II (NIGHT SHIFT)
The Illinois Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking to hire an independent, highly organized, and detail-oriented licensed registered nurse for the Chicago VA home located in Chicago, Illinois. This position will be responsible for performing direct nursing care for residents of the home. The successful candidate shall demonstrate good oral and written communication skills, be a self-starter, and be able to carry out nursing assignments pursuant to the direction of medical personnel.
Under direction, provides direct patient care.
Serves as lead worker.
Assist physician with rounds.
Reviews member medical records to assure that physician orders are posted, medication and member care treatment and observations are charted.
Requires graduation from an approved nursing education program resulting in an associate degree or diploma in nursing and two (2) years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience; OR a bachelor's degree in nursing and one (1) year of professional nursing experience; OR a master's degree in nursing.
Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
