Systems Integration Engineer

PLEX Solutions, A Part of Markon is looking for a highly motivated Systems Integration Engineer with proven experience in installing, configuring, developing, and integrating prototype applications for technical evaluation. The engineer will be supporting a lab environment providing support for customers developing and testing experiments.

Bachelor's degree plus 5-years of relevant experience*, (OR) Master's degree plus 3-years of relevant experience* (OR) an Associate's degree plus 7-years of relevant experience* (OR) high school diploma/GED plus 9-years of relevant experience* may be considered. Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field.

Strong Linux experience. Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management. Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers and network infrastructure. Familiar with setting up storage such as network‐attached storage. Experience implementing security best practices to include PKI certificate generation, deployment and maintenance. Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C.

*Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering.

Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana
