Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Center PACU position requiring pediatric and geriatric patient care experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

PACU setting within a Level I Trauma Center and Level II pediatric trauma facility

Cares for pediatric and geriatric patient populations

Uses Epic EMR

Night shift schedule (12-hour shifts)

Required to work every 3rd weekend

No on-call responsibilities

Compact licenses not accepted; active MN RN license required

Requirements

Active MN RN license required (temporary license accepted if permanent license has been applied for)

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC)

Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (ICU/ED) required

Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required

Prior travel nursing assignment experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms

Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations

Trauma Level I experience required

Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to specialty

Two supervisory references with employment dates required

Additional Information

Provide holistic nursing care across the lifecycle, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans

Coordinate care among disciplines and delegate tasks to other care providers as appropriate

Participate in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices

Royal blue scrubs required as part of dress code

Candidates must disclose any prior work history with North Memorial Health, Maple Grove Hospital, or Blaze Health LLC on their resume

MN DHS Background Study & Fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions

Local candidates residing within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers and subject to a reduced rate

RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and may not be honored if requested afterward
