The Registered Nurse (RN) participates in treatment planning as a member of interdisciplinary team; provides assessment of patients' psychiatric and medical status; administers medication and medical treatment as prescribed by physician; Best candidates for this position will have behavioral health experience, a strong work-ethic, and highly consistent timeliness and attendance!

Demonstrates knowledge of legal implications of nursing practice in performance of duties.

• Demonstrates full level of awareness of unit milieu, and provides appropriate guidance to staff
• Demonstrates ability to establish priorities concerning total unit milieu
• Serves as primary channel of communication between shifts, for patient care unit, and between departments during designated scheduled shift
• Observes and interprets each patient's behavior, demonstrating an understanding of psychiatric concepts, diagnoses and developmental stage
