Wages for Finishing Machine Operator start at $24.41 per hour up to $29.94 per hour depending on skill level and experience.

Additional $1.50 shift differential for night shift.

The person who occupies this position is expected to adjust gluing machines in order to process a flat carton order and oversee its production (complex glue experience a plus).

Once production begins, the operator is responsible for maintaining machinery at optimum speed. The operator is responsible for the members of the crew working on gluer machinery. The operator is also responsible for training feeder/catcher trainees as necessary.

greasing, oiling, blowing off machinery, glue pot maintenance, bearing and belt replacement, and cleaning parts.

Able to maintain written and electronic (SAP) records of quality and production, and Ignition software. Operator goes through hourly statistical measurements (carton alignment, edge caliper, opening force, glue length, etc.)

Responsible for making labels per customer specs.

Ability and Positive attitude to teach and help fellow operators to troubleshoot all problems when called upon to do so.

Mechanical/technical aptitude

• Entry-level computer skills
• Mechanical experience is helpful (automotive, small engine repair, etc.)
• SAP, RF Gen, and Ingition systems. Schedules are up to 12-hour shifts on alternate days with rotating weekends off. However, employees must have the ability to work alternate schedules and overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends, and be punctual while doing so.

Must be willing and able to work overtime.

Reading computer screens or other electronic devices.

Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.

Inside conditions, extremes of heat (up to 100 degrees in the summer), humidity, noise (from production machinery; Mechanical aptitude.
