Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience required License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and de-escalation certification (MAB, CPI, MOAB, etc.) required Must-Have: Must have experience in a large, urban, fast-paced emergency department with significant volume. EPIC experience is required. Description: This position involves working in the emergency room. The RN will support patient care technicians and medics. The position requires coverage on every other weekend with 4 weekend shifts per contract. The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 1:5. The emergency room sees approximately 210 visits per day. Travel requirements include previous travel experience. Charge nurse experience is preferred. The work environment includes a variety of adult patient diagnoses. Level 1 trauma experience is preferred. The unit is expected to float staff to sister locations when needed. Weekend coverage is mandatory with a total of 4 shifts scheduled on weekends within the contract duration. The RN will work within a daily patient census that aims for optimal care standards.
