Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department/Nursing Supervision

Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Schedule: 07:00-19:30 (3x12s) - Days
This is a 13-week contract position.
The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care for the patients in the Emergency Department. This role also includes maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education and delegating patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available. Additionally, the Registered Nurse provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality nursing care to Emergency Room patients.
Utilize the Nursing Process effectively for patient assessment, diagnosis, and care planning.
Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment when assessing patient conditions.
Delegate and supervise patient care tasks among nursing staff.
Maintain up-to-date clinical competencies through continuous education.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Current Arizona RN License.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
Charge Nurse experience is preferred.
Experience with EMR systems, preferably Cerner.
