System AdministratorAvarint is seeking a full-time, onsite System Administrator to join our team. The System Administrator will provide Information Systems (IS) security support for various Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The candidate must be knowledgeable in computer security principles and policies, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), DCSA Assessment and Authorization Guide (DAAG), and 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).Configure, support, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows information systems (IS), and networks in a variety of traditional and virtual environmentsEnsure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and proceduresComply with current cyber security policies and concepts when designing, procuring, adopting, and developing new ISAssist with the development and maintenance of System Security Plans (SSP) and related documentation such as the Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M), Risk Assessment Report, and Continuous Monitoring StrategyEnsure account management and configuration documentation is complete, maintained and reviewed on a periodic basisCollect and analyze audit records in accordance with policies and proceduresConduct network, system, and application vulnerability scanning, configuration assessment, and remediationMaintain a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measuresServe as a Data Transfer Agent (DTA), performing, documenting, and auditing authorized data transfers while maintaining removable media accountabilityRespond to and remediate IS incidents if necessaryAssist with IS security education, training, and awareness programHelp prepare for and participate in periodic compliance assessments and inspectionsWhy Avarint:401(k) – No waiting period.
