Grill Cooks (Night Shift & Weekends)

Line Cook Position
Location: Lalla Grill Del Monte
Job Type: Part-Time & Full-Time Availability
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week. Nights
Pay: $21-$23 per hour + tips included
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates who do not meet the minimum will NOT be considered:
Minimum 3-5 years of professional kitchen experience.
Prior experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Formal culinary training is preferred.
Must be fluent in Spanish; English proficiency preferred.
Strong cooking skills with excellent time management and multitasking ability.
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent quality.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Valid Food Handler Card required shortly after hiring.

Key Responsibilities:
Culinary & Kitchen Operations:
Execute food preparation and cooking on designated line stations.
Maintain consistent portioning, flavor, and presentation for every dish.
Follow recipes, prep lists, and kitchen procedures accurately.
Complete daily prep and keep stations fully stocked before service.
Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times.
Clean and maintain equipment and work areas.
Teamwork & Communication:
Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and FOH when needed.
Coordinate timing on tickets to ensure smooth service flow.
Support fellow cooks and kitchen staff during rush periods.
Assist in training new team members when assigned.
Contribute to a respectful, positive, team-oriented environment.
Professionalism & Problem Solving:
Stay calm and efficient during peak hours.
Adapt quickly when workload or station demands shift.
Address concerns about food quality or safety promptly.
Uphold Lalla Grill's high standards at all times.

Schedule:

• 8-10 hour shifts.
• Night shifts required.
