Exciting Opportunity for a Certified Phlebotomist!
Job Description:
- Shifts Available:

Mid: 5x8-Hour (14:00 - 22:30)
Night: 5x8-Hour (22:30 - 07:00)

- Work Schedule:

Monday or Tuesday: 14:00 - 22:30
Wednesday: 10:00 - 18:30
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday: 22:30 - 07:00

- Key Responsibilities:

Verify patient identification according to policy
Explain sampling procedures to patients
Obtain blood specimens through venipuncture and finger sticks
Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic techniques
Accept and process specimens received by the laboratory
Prepare specimens for reference laboratory dispatch and testing

- Essential Skills:

Proficient in Aseptic Technique
Knowledge of Blood Culture and related procedures
Experience with Charting Systems (preferably Community Hospital)
Understand and implement Standard Precautions
Prioritize patient collections based on order request (stat, timed, routine)
Comfortable with performing point of care testing

- Requirements:

Certification: CA CPT
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Strong data entry skills and attention to detail

- Unit Detail:

Weekend Coverage Required
