Material Handler - Ecommerce / Assembly Warehouse Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Position: Material Handler
Department: Ecommerce / Assembly
Reports To: Ecommerce Manager
Work Environment: Warehouse / Production
Position Classification: Safety-Sensitive
Join a Team Where Accuracy & Organization Matter We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support a fast-moving Ecommerce and Assembly warehouse operation. This is a hands‑on warehouse position responsible for moving, storing, organizing, receiving, and tracking materials and finished products throughout the facility. The right candidate will understand that successful material handling is about more than moving boxes. Accurate inventory, organized staging areas, proper product rotation, and communication with the production team are all essential to keeping operations running smoothly. If you are organized, dependable, safety-conscious, and enjoy staying active throughout your workday, this could be an excellent opportunity.
Position Overview This material handler works directly with the Ecommerce / Assembly team and reports to the Ecommerce Manager. This position plays an important role in making sure materials are:
Received correctly
Counted accurately
Properly labeled
Stored in the correct locations
Available when assembly needs them
Rotated appropriately
Maintained in an organized and safe manner
Attention to detail is extremely important. Inventory errors or incorrectly staged products can affect assembly schedules and production flow, so candidates must be willing to take ownership of their work.
What You'll Be Doing Daily responsibilities may include: Moving materials and products throughout the Ecommerce and Assembly warehouse
Receiving incoming goods and supplies
Verifying quantities of incoming materials
Confirming products received from production and receiving departments
Identifying and labeling inventory
Counting inventory accurately
Maintaining accurate inventory tags

Inventory Accuracy One of the most important responsibilities of this position is maintaining accurate inventory counts and inventory tags. The material handler may be responsible for:
Identifying products correctly
Counting materials
Verifying quantities
Labeling inventory
Maintaining inventory tags
Reporting discrepancies
Keeping products stored in appropriate areas
Making sure inventory information matches physical inventory
The strongest candidates will be people who naturally double‑check their work and understand that small inventory mistakes can create larger production problems.
Receiving Responsibilities Material handlers help ensure incoming products and supplies are received correctly. Responsibilities may include:
Receiving incoming materials
Counting products as they arrive
Comparing physical quantities against expected amounts
Verifying products received from production
Verifying products received through the receiving department
Identifying damaged, missing, or incorrect materials
Communicating discrepancies to the appropriate team member
Moving received products into their proper warehouse locations
Accuracy and communication are critical during the receiving process.
Prestaging for Assembly A major function of this position is preparing materials for upcoming assembly work. Material handlers may be responsible for:
Reviewing assembly requirements
Pulling the correct products
Pulling correct quantities
Organizing materials before assembly begins
Placing products in designated prestaging areas
Keeping the prestaging area clean and orderly
Making sure assembly employees have access to the materials they need
Good prestaging helps prevent production delays and keeps the assembly department operating efficiently.
FIFO Inventory Rotation Employees are expected to follow First‑In, First‑Out (FIFO) inventory practices. This means newer products should be placed behind older inventory whenever appropriate so older inventory is used first. Candidates should be able to:
Identify older and newer inventory
Rotate products properly
Maintain organized storage areas
Follow established inventory procedures
Communicate when inventory appears incorrectly rotated
Equipment & Safety This is a safety‑sensitive position. Employees must maintain awareness of their surroundings and follow all established warehouse and material‑handling safety procedures. Responsibilities may include:
Inspecting material‑handling equipment
Identifying equipment damage or concerns
Reporting needed maintenance
Handling products safely
Keeping materials stored securely
Maintaining clear and organized work areas
Keeping staging areas free of unnecessary hazards
Following supervisor instructions
Working safely around coworkers and equipment
Safety, organization, and good housekeeping are expected throughout the workday.
Communication & Teamwork Material handlers work closely with several areas of the operation. Employees must be able to communicate effectively with:
Ecommerce team members
Assembly employees
Assembly Leads
Quality personnel
Receiving employees
Production employees
Supervisors and management
Strong communication helps ensure that inventory discrepancies, missing products, quality concerns, and production needs are addressed quickly.
What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be:
Dependable
Punctual
Organized
Detail‑oriented
Safety-conscious
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
Capable of accurately counting products
Able to follow inventory procedures
Willing to learn company products and processes
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Comfortable working independently when needed
Able to work effectively as part of a team

Inventory control
Inventory counting
Order pulling
Order picking
Receiving
