Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (LDRP) - Night Shift
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (LDRP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires the ability to float to assist other units as needed.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in an LDRP setting.
Assist with sterile speculum exams, fetal heart monitoring, and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
Support new mothers with breastfeeding and lactation education.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols.
Participate in daily rounds and maintain accurate patient records.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
Current BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications required.
Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
Ability to fulfill call requirements, including mandatory shifts within the schedule.
