Schedule: 8 hour shifts; weekends and holidays are on call.Work Locations:UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NYUHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NYThere is more than one location associated with this position. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Primary Work Shift:Multiple shifts availableCompensation Range:$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experienceYou will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse, when designated by unit assignment and consideration of factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost and impact.Educates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources.Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to UHS Hospitals policy.Complies with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies.Actively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model by supporting the Unit Council, participating in improvement initiatives, and contributing to peer review practices.Actively engages in professional development, continuing nursing education, and completing all mandatory education requirements.Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice.Performs duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned.A graduate of an accredited school of NursingPreferred:Bachelor's of Science degree in NursingPrevious clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory settingLicense/CertificationMinimum Required:Current New York State Registered Nurse License.ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.Why You'll Love Working at UHSAt United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
