Part-time Senior Counsel, Compliance

To provide legal counsel, advice, review and direction to the corporation, its subsidiaries, various departments and to members of management to ensure effective operation in accordance with federal, state and local laws.

Shift

Monday - Friday - 1st Shift (Day)

To provide legal counsel, advice, review and direction to the corporation, its subsidiaries, various departments and to members of management to ensure effective operation in accordance with federal, state and local laws.

Provides legal counsel, advice, review and direction on an assigned basis to various departments and members of management on all levels, including executive management.

Acts as primary legal department contact for outside attorney communications on assigned projects/issues.

Assists in review of laws, regulations, and ordinances affecting the corporation. Recommends and implements specific company responses to changes in governmental and legislative policies.

Performs complex research and investigations and designs, drafts and submits documents concerning legal issues to maintain compliance with various regulations; provides legal interpretation of laws and regulations.

Drafts and reviews legal documents and reviews proposed transactions to ensure maximum benefit to the corporation and minimum exposure to risk.

Negotiates the settlement of claims and suits against the company arising out of area of expertise and works with other personnel and outside counsel in the defense of claims and suits.

Creates, updates, and reviews policies and procedures to ensure that the company is operating in compliance with laws and regulations, and that regulatory reporting requirements are met.

Develops and delivers presentations and training to employees, including management, within area of responsibility.

Drafts, reviews and negotiates legal documents and reviews proposed transactions to ensure maximum benefit to the corporation and minimum exposure to risk.

Juris doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school

Software skills, includinguseof Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.

Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan forresources to meet deadlines and goals.
