Material Handler Warehouse Delivery

Delivery Material Handler
Our Delivery Material Handlers work alongside our driver and are responsible for ensuring the proper delivery of building materials to the job site by using a forklift, crane, conveyor and/or by hand. Gulfeagle offers several training opportunities to help develop our employees into the next stage of their career.

Delivery

Responsible for loading or assisting in loading and securing materials on trucks daily.
Assists in verifying the quantities of materials for accuracy.
Assists driver in locating the job site.
Spot driver when backing up into a job site.
Unload or assists in unloading materials by using forklift crane, conveyor and/or by hand. (May require walking varying distances based on job site conditions.)
Responsible for climbing up to a 40-foot ladder to deliver materials on a pitch of up to an 8/12 roof.
Ensure proper stacking and distribution in the placement of materials on the roof.
Equipment
~ Ensure truck is properly equipped for delivery including filling cooler, strapping materials, loading ladder, and other as needed.

Inventory
~ Assist in taking inventory quarterly or as needed.

Maintain warehouse, yard, and trucks in a proper presentable manner. Responsible for the safe handling of materials including wearing back brace, gloves, shoes, and other safety devices as appropriate. Responsible for aiding in the safe operation of vehicles as it relates to the customer's property and Gulfeagle's property.

Customer Service
~ Aiding Customers with materials, reporting problems with deliveries, service issues, and all other as needed

Reports indirectly to the Safety team regarding fleet, safety, and staff.
Read, write, and comprehend English or Spanish as required by the branch location.
Knowledge of roofing material and/or construction and distribution.
Must lift up to 100 pounds of material continually for up to two hours at a time.
Requires a high degree of attention to ensure proper delivery while preventing damage to materials and equipment.
Tact and diplomacy required in dealing with customer personnel at delivery points.
