Registered Nurse (Mental Health Center) (Full-time or Part-time - 2nd or 3rd Shift)

Compensation & Sign‑On Bonus

Sign‑on bonus of $10,000 for new hire Staff Nurse, Night shift only. Part Time and Full Time open positions / units and float options.

Fixed 2‑week schedule with alternating weekends.

Differentials: evenings $1.50/hr; nights $2.75/hr; weekends 15%/hr.

$2,000/yr RN loan repayment.

11 holidays.

Butler Hospital is located on a campus just off Blackstone Blvd, east side of Providence, 5 minutes from downtown Providence, about 45 minutes from Boston, and 30 minutes from Newport.

Provides direct patient care based on the knowledge of ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Butler Hospital policies and procedures, and the RI Nurse Practice Act. Participates in treatment planning to coordinate medical and nursing care and discharge planning. Coordinates psychiatric and/or medical emergencies to ensure safe care. Assists other staff and accepts additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities. Assumes role of charge nurse for the shift.

Provides direct patient care in line with ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, hospital policies, and RI Nurse Practice Act.

Coordinates psychiatric and/or medical emergencies ensuring safety.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Current Rhode Island nursing license.
